Provided by Advocate Family Care Network-Childhood Trauma Treatment Program (AFCN-CTTP). This 2 Hour Free Training Will Provide Adults:
- Knowledge to Recognize the signs of child sexual abuse.
- Guidance to Know How to React if someone discloses they are being abused.
- Empowerment to take actions that will help prevent child sexual abuse.
Participants will learn prevention methods, participate in discussion of key factors of child sexual abuse, view a powerful video including testimony from survivors of child sexual abuse, have the opportunity to voice their concerns, discuss options, and consider protection policies.
Who: For adults, including parents, school staff, coaches, care providers, child mentors, troop leaders, and any other adults who work with, have children, or know someone who has children. Space is limited; advance registration is required at ctuf.org/pd.
What: The workshop includes a Video Presentation, Discussion, Workbook, and a Resource Handout. Participants will receive 2 Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) and/or 2 Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
