Full course description

Online Only | The Chicago Teachers Union Foundation Quest Center offers an opportunity to learn more about Google Classroom, a free web-based classroom management connected to the Google account of every CPS teacher. Inexperienced users will build skills and experience in Google Classroom to advance student learning. More experienced users will learn about some lesser known features of this powerful tool to save time and paper. We will explore the Google Classroom interface from the teacher perspective as well as the student perspective, communicate with parents, distribute assignments, and use streamlined workflows to assess students quickly and effectively. Attend later seminars in this series to pursue the Google Certified Educator (Level 1) exam. This valuable certification will show competency with core G Suite apps. This is an ASYNCHRONOUS class; there is no video meeting at a specific time. You can engage with the content whenever you would like. This offering is aligned to the CPS Framework for Teaching Domain 1 and 3 – 1d, 1e, 3a, 3c, 3d.
