Full course description

This workshop will explore ways to recognize anxiety and depression as expressed in children and adults. We will start with a review of some of the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression and then discuss how to better understand the meaning(s) being expressed through these communications. We will use a combination of large group and small group discussions to create a toolkit for attendees to use to identify, respond and manage anxiety and depression within their settings. This workshop is aligned with the CPS Framework for Teaching Components 1b, 2a, 2d, 3d, 3e, 4ac and 4e.
