Sometimes, all it takes is an example in a good book or story to make a concept “click” for your students, or to make a character, or period of time come alive in their minds, enhancing their understanding of a world event. In this workshop, we’ll examine a variety of resources that provide book suggestions, lesson plans, and activities geared to the use of Children’s Literature in Math, Science, Social Studies and more.  This course is designed for PreK through fourth grade teachers.

Sign up for the course at the above link. Several days prior to the start of the course, participants receive an email with instructions for accessing the course. A week’s material is posted at the start of each week.  Participants are expected to read content and review various resources, write replies/answer questions, share experiences, and engage in discussions with the course facilitator and other participants.  None of the assignments are completed in "real-time;" you can work at the times that best suit your own schedule.
