The Curriculum Workbench: Developing Career-Focused Lesson Plans
Earn 30 ISBE PD hours and 2 CPS Lane Placement Credit Hours
Online | The Curriculum Workbench professional development course provides currently practicing teachers in all subject areas, particularly CTE and STEM content areas, with a deep understanding of curriculum design driven by developing career-aligned interdisciplinary learning experiences that prepare them for relevant on-the-job activities. This course will allow educators to collaborate and learn around lesson planning to create an interdisciplinary, constructivist, experiential-based lesson plan that engages students to further develop their technical skills through collaborative activities that reinforce the skills for academic and career success. This course is aligned to the CPS Framework for Teaching Components 1a, 1c, 1d, 3c, and 4d.
