Full course description

This session will provide teachers of all grades with a variety of community building tools for the virtual learning environment. Participants will co-construct deliverables and discuss activities/structures which can be used immediately to connect with students and connect students with each other. Attendees will learn strategies and tactics for making our virtual community feel more warm, supportive, and inclusive.

Teachers will participate in an interactive lecture first and then work with other teachers of similar grades/subjects in Breakout Rooms. We will then come back together to discuss how we plan to use our co-constructed community building activities/structures. This offering aligns with the CPS Framework for Teaching Components: 1a, 1b, 1e, 2a-d, 3a-e, 4a, 4b, and 4d.
