Online Only | Join a dynamic community of educators committed to making a difference. "Turning Pages, Changing Lives" is more than a course; it's a call to action. This course is designed to empower educators in grades 5-12 to utilize children's literature as a powerful tool for teaching political, social justice, and societal issues. Participants will explore carefully selected books and engage in hands-on activities to create inclusive, thought-provoking, and empathetic learning experiences for their students. Learn how to empower your students to become compassionate, engaged citizens ready to shape a brighter tomorrow. For teachers of grades 5-12.

Several days prior to the start of the course, participants receive an email with instructions for accessing the course. A week’s material is posted at the start of each week.  Participants are expected to read content and review various resources, write replies/answer questions, share experiences, and engage in discussions with the course facilitator and other participants.  None of the assignments are completed in "real-time;" you can work at the times that best suit your own schedule.
