Online - Asynchronous | Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize and control your emotions and the ability to recognize and influence the emotions of others. In industry, those who make a higher salary and usually have more satisfying jobs, are those who have strong emotional intelligence. While those who do not have strong emotional intelligence are those who live lives that are “reactive”, “upset”, “vengeful”, and “punitive” without a practical way to manage their emotions and care for the feeling of others. The first six lessons cover
1) The Neuroscience of Emotions

2) Emotions and Physical Health

3) Emotional Well-being for SOCIAL Health

4) Emotional Well-being and Learning

5) Lowering Students Affective Filter for Maximized Learning

6) Creating an Environment and Inner State within Students Conducive to Learning (R-U-L-E-R Emotions)
The other four lessons that are covered help teachers use a well-known method that works in heightening one’s emotional intelligence. This course can be quite fun as you see your ability to make friends, love yourself, and have happier days as you converse with others, identify their emotions, and channel your feelings through a practical method that helps you avoid anger, sadness, and false expectations.
This offering is aligned to the CPS Framework for Teaching Domain 1, 2a, 3c.
