From the United States to Palestine: Reading the World, Reimagining a Future Rooted in Solidarity
A One-Day Workshop on Radical Dreaming, Liberatory Curriculum, Critical Literacy, and Global Citizenship

This immersive workshop will engage educators in unpacking systems of power through critical literacy practices, exploring how liberatory pedagogy can cultivate global citizenship in their classrooms. With freedom dreaming (Love) as the north star, participants will collaboratively envision transformative educational futures rooted in justice, solidarity, and student agency. Educators will center current events with a special focus on Palestine to unpack what solidarity looks like in this moment of our time.

Special Notes: Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
 
Location: The PD is held at the Chicago Teachers Union Foundation at 1901 W. Carroll Ave. There is usually plenty of parking on the street on the north (Carroll Ave.) and east (Wolcott Ave.) sides of the building. The Green Line and the CTA Damen Bus are good travel options. Please come into the building on the west side (Damen Ave.), check in with the security/reception desk, and tell them you are here for the PD. They will tell you where to go. Walter Taylor, NBCT, Director of PD, will also be there to direct you.
