Full course description
Online Only | The Summer Creative Writing Series will help educators explore their inner writer by deep-diving into multiple writing genres, including poetry, short stories, plays, memoirs, and essays. Participants will use this platform to express their creativity in a fun virtual environment. This online professional development affords participants opportunities to read, write, revise, and provide feedback to create lasting works for their personal portfolio and/or for publication. This interactive series will give teachers a creative edge in their personal and professional growth through the creative writing process, enabling them to create pieces that participants are proud of and that may be published on CTU's website. Educators will also be able to use the strategies in their classrooms. This professional learning opportunity is aligned to the CPS Framework for Teaching Components: 1A. Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy- 1D- Knowledge of Designing Coherent Instruction, and 4D-Growing and Developing Professionally.
