Full course description

The Chicago Teachers Union Foundation Quest Center offers an opportunity to learn more about Google Apps, including the Chrome browser, Google Search, Classroom, Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, Calendar, Keep, Sites, Groups, Gmail, Hangouts, and YouTube. CPS adopted Google Apps for Education (also known as G Suite), but many teachers have expressed a desire for additional training in these applications.

Four in-person sessions with online components will build skills & experience in Google Apps & advance student learning. Come to all four sessions to learn about G Suite and prepare for the Google Certified Educator (Level 1) exam. This valuable certification will show competency with core G Suite apps. We will build a PLC to learn about Google tools, practice their use, develop lessons with peers, build assessments, analyze student data, create websites, & prepare to take the optional certification exam. This offering is aligned to the CPS Framework for Teaching Domain 1 and 3 – 1d, 1e, 3a, 3c, and 3d.
