Full course description

New to G Suite? No problem! This beginners’ course, Introduction to Google & G-Suite for Education, will introduce teachers to the world of collaboration using Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets and Google Keep. These applications are the basic essentials of the Google ecosystem. Build fluency with these applications to save time and resources as you and your students embrace a digital approach to teaching and learning. This professional development activity is aligned to the ISTE Standards and to the CPS Framework for Teaching Components: 1d.


Several days prior to the start of the course, participants receive an email with instructions for accessing the course. A week’s material is posted at the start of each week.  Participants are expected to read content and review various resources, write replies/answer questions, share experiences, and engage in discussions with the course facilitator and other participants.  None of the assignments are completed in "real-time;" you can work at the times that best suit your own schedule.
